    The Alexandrite laser has long been the “gold standard” for permanent hair removal, thanks to its wavelength of 755 nm which has a very high affinity for melanin in the hair follicle. With Again Pro+ and Moveo technology, DEKA has taken the classic Alexandrite laser and solved its biggest drawbacks: pain, limited skin type and risk of side effects at high fluence.The result is an Alexandrite laser in motion with:
    • high power
    • controlled, gradual heating
    • contact cooling via sapphire tip
    • minimum reflection and maximum energy in the hair follicle




    What is Alexandrite Moveo?


    Alexandrite Moveo is not a wavelength of its own, but a way to deliver Alexandrite light (755 nm) in a smarter way. Instead of single powerful shots from a distance, the Moveo handpiece works:
    • in direct contact with the skin via a sapphire tip
    • with lower fluence per pulse, but many fast pulses
    • with in-motion technology, where you sweep over a defined area

    This means that:
    • more of the energy is absorbed into the skin instead of being reflected away
    • the hair follicles are gradually heated to destructive temperatures
    • the skin is protected by continuous cooling via the sapphire tip




    Why Again Pro+ is different from traditional Alexandrite


    Traditional Alexandrite:


    • fires single, powerful shots at a distance
    • often requires high fluence to be effective
    • may be experienced as more painful
    • is often limited to skin types I–III

    Again Pro+ with Moveo:

    Wavelength 755 nm – why it matters


    Alexandrite 755 nm has:
    • very high absorption in melanin
    • lower absorption in water than Nd:YAG

    This makes it particularly effective on:
    • finer hairs
    • hairs that diode lasers sometimes have difficulty reaching

    Moveo handpiece – sapphire tip and contact cooling


    The Moveo handpiece has:
    • a sapphire tip that is in direct contact with the skin
    • integrated contact cooling

    This gives:
    • almost no energy loss
    • more even heating of the hair follicles
    • high comfort even with high energy levels

    Multipass – gradual heating


    Instead of trying to destroy the hair follicle with a single powerful shot, Moveo works with:
    • many fast pulses
    • over a small, defined area
    • until the hair follicles have reached the right temperature




    Which hair and skin types can be treated?


    With Again Pro+ and Moveo we can treat:
    • both thin and thick hairs
    • all skin types where the hair is darker than the skin

    What cannot be treated effectively:
    • white hair
    • gray hair
    • red hair




    Treatment interval and number of treatments


    • Face: 4–5 weeks
    • Axillae and intimate area 4–5 weeks
    • Body: 8–10 weeks
    • Around: 6–10 treatments

    The number is affected by hormones, genetics, area and sex chromosomes.



    How does a treatment with Alexandrite Moveo feel?
