THINGS TO THINK ABOUT AFTER THE TREATMENT

For carbon peels: Avoid sun exposure for the next month to reduce the risk of pigmentation.

Chemical peels with BioRePeel:

Immediately after treatment

It is common to experience:

  • slight redness
  • tightness
  • dryness
  • mild peeling
  • slight stinging

Some people have almost no visible reaction at all, while others have a slight peeling after a few days.

Sun protection is very important

Use:

  • SPF 30–50 daily
  • preferably broad spectrum

Avoid:

  • strong sun
  • sunbed
  • intensive UV exposure

…at least for the first week.

This is especially important because the skin is more sensitive after acid treatment.

Avoid strong products for a few days

Temporarily take a break from:

  • retinol
  • tretinoin
  • AHA/BHA acids
  • strong vitamin C
  • exfoliation
  • scrub

Focus instead on:

  • gentle cleansing
  • moisturizing
  • barrier-supporting products.

Avoid heat for the first 24–48 hours

Try to avoid:

  • sauna
  • hot showers
  • intensive exercise
  • steam
  • hot treatments

…to reduce irritation.

Makeup

Many people can apply light makeup fairly quickly, sometimes the next day, but it is best to:

  • let the skin rest for the first 24–48 hours if possible.

NEXT APPOINTMENT

Chemical peeling with BioRePeel:
Many people do:

  • a course of 3–6 treatments
    with:
  • 1–3 weeks between sessions

…depending on skin type and goals.

Carbon peel: You will see results after just one treatment, but we recommend a course of 3 with about 10 days between sessions.
